Rivacold can now offer the market a revolutionary range of ecological CO2 natural gas solutions, aiming to become the main reference point for all customers for this type of applications. From transcritical condensing units to integrated systems for refrigeration, air conditioning and heating, passing through evaporators and gas coolers: a complete range, in which technological innovation, energy efficiency and environmental sustainability are combined with high quality, reliability and flexibility in offering products tailored to the needs of customers, values which have driven Rivacold’s success for more than 50 years.
For all convenient stores wishing to enter or continue the conversion to CO2, Rivacold developed Co2nnext: a range of R744 transcritical condensing units and split systems using a variable speed BLDC compressor for medium and low temperature applications (cold rooms, counters and murals) in small supermarkets. Thanks to a new generation of electronic controls for Co2, this easy to install system is designed to connect up to 5 utilities. Energy efficiency, environmental sustainability and perfect food preservation are guaranteed by Rivacold.
Co2nnext covers cooling capacities below 10 Kw. For solutions with higher capacity, Rivacold proposes the same product concept, but with up to 4 compressors. Here is MultiCo2nnext, a series of mini compressors up to 35 Kw, ideal for the cooling needs of the walls and counters of a medium-sized supermarket. Variable speed compressors and a patent-pending oil return monitoring system: a guarantee of perfect operation of an ecological and competitive solution.
Going further in power, we enter the world of refrigeration plants, up to more than 130 Kw of power and supporting the requirements of large supermarkets, including air conditioning. Rivacold proposes a range of transcritical CO2 solutions which, thanks to the integration of technical devices such as parallel compression and ejectors in the circuit, can be installed even in the hottest climates without losing efficiency.
Rivacold has installed more than 200 CO2 units and continues to install revolutionary solutions, such as the new 4Y, a cutting-edge, highly efficient, completely CO2-based integrated system which covers the refrigeration, air conditioning and heating needs of a new 1500 sqm supermarket in Monticello Brianza (Lc). This new Rivacold product concept, characterized by innovative solutions such as total heat recovery, parallel compression, gas cooler with integrated evaporator and customized software, guarantees great energy savings (-15% compared to CO2 booster system) and maximum attention to the environment.
In addition to the range of refrigeration units (single and multi compressor) Rivacold is one of the few companies in Europe which also produces heat exchangers and among others, gas coolers, ventilated evaporators and static evaporators dedicated to transcritical CO2. Rivacold brand gas coolers are designed for a maximum working pressure of 130 bar and for this reason they have dedicated components and materials to maintain high product quality, reliability and maximum energy saving: hull in electro-galvanized sheet metal painted with epoxy powder, tube used in K65 copper alloy, steel connections, electronic motor fans. The entire range uses the latest generation of electronic motor-fans with diameters of 500, 630, 800 and 1000 mm and powers ranging from 22 to over 700 kW.
The range of ventilated evaporators for cold rooms differs according to the different applications and units: slim, cubic and double flow. All evaporators are designed for an operating pressure of 75 bar; they have reduced dimensions for the maximum use of the space in the cold room and make use of electronic motor fans and solid materials in the whole range which covers cooling capacities from 2 to 61 Kw for high, medium and low temperature applications.
