We are going through a very complex period and, although the worst seems to be behind us, we find ourselves facing both health concerns and the economic consequences of this global crisis on a daily basis.
The VAG Group employs about 1200 people in the Municipality of Vallefoglia alone: the responsibility we felt towards these families led us to act carefully and always in collaboration with the health authorities, respecting not only the regulations but, above all, the understandable need for safety of all employees.
Therefore, we performed serological tests on all of our workers to identify those potentially positive and those who have already developed antibodies to Covid-19. We chose the utmost caution, keeping people isolated who have even a minimal viral load, though not enough to transmit the infection. We prepared ourselves, with this information, for the future resumption of full business operations.
We are adopting a different way of working than we were used to, where physical separation, smart working and personal protective equipment – such as gloves and masks – ensure the complete protection of all our employees and their families. These same precautions have been used since March 14, in the midst of the lockdown, to ensure the supply of refrigeration systems was limited to only essential companies in the food and medical supply chain.
To get back to 100% production, we want our company to be 100% safe.
This is our next goal and the biggest contribution we will give to our whole region, for which we have been working since the beginning by providing free masks to the Traffic Police and Carabinieri Corps, to the Municipality, to the local Asur and by participating in the donation of 15 respirators to the Marche Nord Hospital to increase the number of intensive care units.
We are working to get back stronger than before, together we will make it.
